Beginning Geography K-2
Beginning Geography is an educational resource designed to introduce K–2 students to fundamental geography concepts. The workbook comprises 93 reproducible practice pages, covering topics such as map skills, landforms, bodies of water, continents, and oceans.
The curriculum is divided into three sections:
Map Skills: Activities on positional words, cardinal directions, compass rose, map symbols, map key, distance on a map, borders on a map, and map grids.
Landforms and Bodies of Water: Exploration of various landforms and bodies of water.
Continents and Oceans: Introduction to the continents and oceans of the world.
Each section includes a teaching guide, detailed table of contents, and a variety of activity pages suitable for individual, small group, or whole-class instruction. Activities encompass drawing and writing tasks, cut-and-paste exercises, test preparation, open-ended responses, centers, games, and mini-books. Cumulative review pages at the end of each section serve as formal assessments of students' skill acquisition
